Welcome Spring

I went into “town” the other day and saw these trees full of spring bloom.  I had to get out of my car and take a few pics and the funny thing is that I was not the only one!

It is spring again! Can you believe it?! We have cycled yet one more time to this awesome part of the year where everything is blooming and life is starting over again.  It is during the spring that our diets transition from the sustaining foods of the winter to the revitalizing and cleansing foods of the spring.

So open up your cupboards and start some spring cleaning.  Take a trek to the farmers market, which should be blooming with new produce such as artichokes, radishes, pea sprouts, asparagus, and much more.  While you may see a lot of these in your market year round, most of them are at their peak during the spring.

Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or just someone who wants to add seasonal eating into your diet there is something here for you.  So join me this spring season where you will find recipes featuring spring produce, chitchat on my spring experiences, and learn more about spring fruits and vegetables.
