Goodbye Spring 2012, Hello Summer 2012!

Things are moving along very fast in 2012, spring has ended and summer is here.  Can you believe it!?!  I hope that you enjoyed your spring as I did.  Did you get in loads of fresh fruits and vegetables?  Lots of detoxing foods?  Are you ready for the heat of summer and the cooling hydrating fruits and vegetables that come with it?

Spring was fun, I spent days in the park, enjoyed Earth Day, ate detoxifying foods, had homemade macrobiotic bowls, and made my first vegan gumbo z’herbes and vegan pancit bihon!  Not only was spring fun, but it was quite tasty!

As this lovely spring 2012 season comes to a close, my time spent here for this year will come to a close.  The recipes will still be here and you can always sub out ingredients with what’s in season.  Also, some vegetable have year long seasons!  Gotta love that.

This is not the end of my 2012 seasonal cooking though….

The summer farmers’ markets are bustling and you can find me cooking up some summer produce over at Summer Vegan!  Would love to see you there where I will be cooking up more vegan recipes.
